You thought that you could see tomorrow. You bought the future's mystery. Your paper friends seem like they're givers. Their sharpened smiles are meant to bleed. It was the right time, You chose the former then the latter. Such a wrong crime, but in the end it doesn't even matter. And it never really mattered. Doesn't even matter. And in the end it never even really mattered. Well will you ever feel the sorrow, Of barren land or refugees? But you would rather dam(n) the river. So blind to death, refuse to see? It was the right time. You chose the former then the latter. Such a wrong crime. And when I look into your eyes, I see you're yearning to be free. You're searching for those blue skies, and a place beside the sea. Matter. And it never really mattered. Doesn't Even Matter. And in the end you know it’s really gonna matter.

Pack It Up 02:57
Feeling like a face that is out of place. Gotta bout of doubt, runnin’ out of space. Hiding in the back, cardiac arrest. Jumping to the front, gunnin’ for the West. Never in the middle, wanna back it up. Gotta grab the bag, wanna pack it up. Pack it up. Fill the little hole where the pain's set up. lot’s of living dead, get my head sped up. Eyes on the road, heavy load to bring. Tryin'na leave behind, redesign the scene. Never wanna talk, wanna back it up. Always start to walk, wanna pack it up. Pack it up. (Solo) Fill the little hole where the pain's set up. lot’s of living dead, get my head sped up. Eyes on the road, heavy load to bring. Tryin'na leave behind, redesign the scene. Never wanna talk, wanna back it up. Always start to walk, wanna pack it up. Pack it up. (Solo)

Ah surprise, the inside! Ah surprise, the inside! Love you, hate you, fear you. Bring to, subdue, accrue, push through, withdrew, ensue, adieu. Ahhhhh! Clothing, with a potion. Floating, in this notion, an ocean, emotion, demotion, devotion I’m living in a cellar in the other room. IIIIII’m dying as a dweller in this lonely tomb. Dictate, berate, mandate. Irate, primate, gestate, innate, inmate, in the substrate. Ahhhhh! Is this just a fiction? Just a sordid diction, addiction, restriction, affliction, conviction. I’m living in a cellar in the other room. IIIIII’m dying as a dweller in a lonely tomb. Ah my eyes, the outside! Ah my eyes, the outside!

It's True 05:38
Holed-up inside and try to cry to sleep. I want to dim the light, but I'm too weak. I feel so lost, though try to seek. Just need to get some sleep tonight. Why even try to justify this state? I work early the next day, and it's so late. Lie down to rest this crushing weight. Just need to get some sleep tonight. Please help me with this point of view. They told me all the time, it's true. Lost the luster, but man was it overdue. I tell you all the time it's true Ti-hi-hime it's true. Ti-hi-hime it's true. I’m drifting far away. Guaranteed to leave but it's okay. There's nothing left that I can say. Just need a quick reprieve tonight. I'll miss the ones I said I'd rendezvous. Of all the ones I'll miss the most is you. I want to mourn the ones I knew. Just need to get some sleep tonight. Please help me with this point of view. They told me all the time it's true. Lost the luster, but man was it overdue. I tell you all the time it's true. Ti-hi-hime it's true. Ti-hi-hime it's true. (Solo) Please help me with this point of view. They told me all the time it's true. Lost the luster, but man was it overdue. I tell you all the time it's true. Ti-hi-hime it's true. Ti-hi-hime it's true.

Please know, I never meant those things I said. You didn't want what it led to. Now I wonder where you've fled to. I was very much in the wrong. I said it when I was young, I thought it'd help me belong, But please know, I never meant those things I said. You didn't want what it led to. Now I wonder where you've fled to. You cried, every time that I lied. Felt it when you shied away, Falling deep down inside. But please know, I never meant those things I said. You didn't want what it led to, Now I wonder where you've fled to. [Solo] Please know, I never meant those things I said. You didn't want what it led to. Now I wonder where you've fled to. Sunshine 04:27
Somewhere, or should I say everywhere? You're searchin’ for answers, but the outlook's bleak. Unsure, of what you were looking for. What is the question you are trying to seek? I think you've been here before. You're trying to head back for more. Now we'll never see the sunshine (Sunshine) Or find ourselves there back again. (Ah, ah, ah) Haven't lived in such a long time. (Long time) I'd like to feel the sunlight on my skin. I know it was so long ago. Can we relive it, All of its mystique? Oh no, just can't seem to take it slow. Is that the answer, Or am I just weak? I think you've been here before. You're trying to head back for more. Now we'll never see the sunshine (Sunshine) Or find ourselves there back again. (Ah, ah, ah) Haven't lived in such a long time. (Long time) I'd like to feel the sunlight on my skin. Is it all just a counterfeit? All insignificant? Or is it all just me? Misfit, hidden to hypocrites. Did we succumb? Did we forget to flee? I think you've been here before. You're trying to head back for more. Now we'll never see the sunshine (Sunshine) Or find ourselves there back again. (Ah, ah, ah) Haven't lived in such a long time. (Long time) I'd like to feel the sunlight on my skin. (Solo)

What is the caveat, Now that we've reached the peak? We never gave a second thought. We came for what we seek. Give us possessions. You know that's just the start. Some wage suppression, To tear you all apart. And to all that are demanding my reply. I shift my gaze and walk on by. Remembering days when we would slumber on the shore. We walked on shoulders through the door. On their shoulders. We are the keepers, the master lock and key. Weeding out the weaker, And those that disagree. You want a piece of it? You'll have to pay the cost. Come and make the full commit, A line that must be crossed. Sell all your empathy. Everything you hold dear. This is your destiny. Don't ever shed a tear. And all the millions lying ill and needing more, They're all just victims of the poor. Remembering days when we would dream about it all. We walked on shoulders down the hall. On their shoulders. (Solo)

You know it's hard for me to speak it plain. It's all you do for me. Searching for the right words, but it's vain. It's all you do for me. And I think we finally found the meaning of, So let’s take all our emotion and call it love. Both of us together, ‘gainst the grain. It's all you do for me. In the summertime and through the rain. It's all you do for me. And I think we finally found the meaning of. So let’s take all our emotion and call it love.

Evil fester, blind aggressor, We’ve got so much to do. Our dismissal is so remiss and we’ll cry. Spinning ‘round and around and around, baby, Words with no core. Every moment fills my eyes with death. Those final days, I can't forget. Cuz I'm in trouble too, I'm standing in my killer's view. I'm in trouble too, and I don't know what to do. Culture creatures, now we feature a death filled interview, Givin’ shelter to helter skelter replies. Dropping round after round after round, baby, Shells kiss the floor. Every moment fills my eyes with death. Those final days, I can't forget. Cuz I'm in trouble too, I'm standing in my killer's view. I'm in trouble too, and I don't know what to do. All the pain is a white-hot searing knife, I am floating up towards the sky. I am floating up towards the sky. I am floating up towards the sky.

about

"The Other Room" is a metaphor for the inner parts of ourselves that we hide from others. Whether it's our genuine selves hidden from social media, our passions, our darkest thoughts and desires, or our insecurities, we all have something deeper beneath our façade that we construct for the outside world.

This album was written in 2020, recorded in 2021 in Nashville at Gray's home studio, mixed in 2021 by Kevin in Columbus, OH, and mastered by Brandon at Oranjudio in early 2022 in Columbus, OH.
